Why Sleep Is Important


I get some of my best ideas in bed. There I am, all tucked in and ready to fall asleep when suddenly the mystery of my tangled plot unknots and all the parts are laid out..well…just like a book.

Scientists believe that ideas actually pop into our heads all day long, but at night, going to sleep, is the time when we’re least distracted and those neglected ideas can finally surface.

It’s like our subconscious has been waiting all day for a moment to interrupt into the non-stop chatter of our brain.

I kind of like that. And that’s why I keep my note-taking supplies by my bed.
